Gregory J. Ramirez
Mr. Ramirez is a civil litigation attorney, with substantial trial experience. His practice focus on business and complex litigation, class action matters, personal injury and wrongful death.
Mr. Ramirez was nominated to, and voted into American Board of Trail Advocates (ABOTA), an invitation only organization of veteran trial lawyers who promote the jury system and civility in the legal profession.
He is currently the president of the California Coast Chapter of ABOTA, which is comprised of attorneys and judges from three counties – Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo.
Mr. Ramirez is an active member in the local community, having served on a number of boards and committees and has held many leadership positions. Mr. Ramirez is an active member of the Oxnard Ambassadors, which strives to build relationship between the local military bases and local Ventura County businesses. He was elected to the position of, and served as, Consul General of the Ambassadors in 2010. Because of his local support of our men and women in service, in May of this year Mr. Ramirez was selected to attend the Air Force Military War College in Montgomery, Alabama. Mr. Ramirez has served on the City of San Buenaventura Planning Commission since 2006, and is currently the Chairman of the Planning Commission.
Mr. Ramirez graduated from the University of Southern California and earned his bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance in 1981. After graduation, Mr. Ramirez attended an honor program at Cambridge University in Cambridge, England, where he studied International Economics. Mr. Ramirez worked as a judicial extern for Justice Arthur Gilbert of the local Court of Appeal in Ventura for one semester. He also clerked with the state of California Attorney General’s Office in Los Angeles, assisting with filing and prosecuting crimes involving consumer fraud.
Mr. Ramirez was born and raised in Ventura, Where he still resides. Mr. Ramirez went to local schools, attending Saint Bonaventura High School and Ventura College.
