  • After a two week court trial, Ball & Yorke won a judgment in the amount of $1,313,880 for violations of California's immigration consultant act in the case of Santiago v. Velasco. The case received national media attention in pieces published by the Associated Press.
  • In Ragsdale v. Ralph Grocery Company, a Ventura jury awarded, and Ball & Yorke recovered, $524,470 for a slip and fall in a grocery store.
  • $850,000 was obtained to settle claims of insurance bad faith and broker malpractice Ball & Yorke brought for clients, a husband and wife, who were improperly denied uninsured motorist insurance benefits.
  • A Ball & Yorke client received $1,450,000 for injuries suffered in a car accident.
  • Rosales v. Thermex-Thermatron, Inc. (1998) 67 Cal.App.4th 187, saw Ball & Yorke prevail on a landmark case of strict products and successor liability, meriting a net judgment of $544,875.37 and, in addition an award of $123,002.85 in attorneys' fees and costs assessed against the defendant for failure to admit requests for admissions. In the decade since it was published, the Rosales precedent has been cited over two dozen times in scholarly articles, annotated statutes, model jury instructions, and legal treatises.
  • A San Diego court awarded a client of Ball & Yorke over $169,000 in unpaid wages in the matter of Armstrong v. CJ Torre Construction.
  • Siegel v. Prudential Ins. Co. (1998) 67 Cal.App.4th 1270, the Court of Appeal upheld an arbitration award of over $1,338,000 obtained by Ball & Yorke in a wrongful termination case. The Siegel case has been cited over seventeen times in law review articles, annotated statutes, and legal treatises.
  • Peralta v. Hispanic Bus., Inc. (2005) 419 F.3d 1064 and Olive v. Am. Express Long Term Disability Benefit Plan (2001) 183 F. Supp. 2d 1191 saw Ball & Yorke set new ground in the Federal Courts for issues arising under the Employment Retirement Income Security Act ("ERISA"). The Peralta decision led the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals to recognize, for the first time, the existence of a new right for employees.
  • For the case of Bartish v. Berquisit, a jury awarded $474,754.00 to a Ball & Yorke client who suffered injuries in a motorcycle accident.
